How the 785 metering unit works:
The Singulaire metering unit is a vacuum chamber divided into three separate galleries. A vacuum fan pulls seeds onto a series of holes in a seed disc. Then, to ensure that each hold retains a single seed, a singulator device removes excess seeds.

Depending on the type of disc fitted, seeds can be picked up in one, two, or three lines. A vacuum cut off releases seed close to the ground for maximum spacing accuracy. For two or three line planting, a special guide is fitted to directs seed into separate lines. After the seeds are released the holes are cleaned by a jet of air.
